Appealing TQS signed "G. C. Marshall" on an off-white 5 x 3 card, which features his statement made in the wake of Pearl Harbor, delivered to the graduating class of the United States Military Academy on May 29, 1942: "We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle, Our Flag will be recognized throughout the World as a symbol of Freedom on the one hand and of Overwhelming Power on the other." In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original transmittal letter, dated August 21, 1944, and its mailing envelope.
