Description

Austrian violinist, conductor, and composer (1828-1893) who founded the Hellmesberger Quartet in 1849; among his other positions, Hellmesberger served as violin professor and director at the Vienna Conservatory and then as concertmaster of the Court Opera orchestra. Untranslated ALS in German, signed “J. Hellmesberger,” one page, 5.25 x 8, no date. In fine condition.
