In part: “I regret exceedingly that it is not in my power to accept the invitation with which I have been honored by the Chamber of Commerce of the State of New York, to meet its members & friends at the 119th Annual Banquet of the Chamber on Tuesday evening, November 15th. The Supreme Court will be in session then, and I must not be away. But for this I should have made every effort to be with you on such an interesting occasion.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds.
