American cartoonist, illustrator, and author (1911-1996) who is best known for his work on the Tarzan newspaper comic strip and his series of anatomy books for artists. Original profile sketch of Tarzan with jungle leaf backdrop on an off-white 6.5 x 9 sheet, accomplished in red artist pencil by Hogarth, who signs and inscribes below, "For Steve Palestrant, with Best from 'Tarzan' and Burne Hogarth, May 16-52." In very fine condition.
