King George appoints James Gordon as "Lieutenant…in Our hundred and fourth Regiment of Foot, commanded by Our Trusty and Wellbeloved Major General Stuart Douglas." Signed in the upper left corner by the king, and countersigned in the lower right by William Petty, 2nd Earl of Shelburne. In fine condition.
