Description

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 12.5 x 17.75, July 31, 1824. A grant for a 125-acre parcel of land, issued to James Harrison, "a Lieutenant for three years," under the provisions of "An Act to enable the Officers and Soldiers of the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment, to obtain titles to certain lands lying north west of the river Ohio." Signed at the conclusion by President Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. Beige paper seal remains affixed to the lower left. Matted to a slightly larger size. In very good to fine condition, with paper loss to the upper right and lower right corners (near, but not affecting, the signature).
