TLS in German, signed “A. Einstein,” one page, 8.5 x 11, blindstamped personal Princeton letterhead, December 23, 1938. Letter to Ralph Roeder of the League of American Writers, in full (translated): "I am happy to join the Sponsor Committee for your Manuscript Auction." In very good to fine condition, with a small area of paper loss to the blindstamped letterhead, and staining along the top edge from old adhesive residue on the reverse.
