Description

Bell extends his thanks to the Smithsonian

TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, Beinn Bhreagh letterhead, August 4, 1920. Letter to Paul Brockett at the Smithsonian Library in Washington, D.C., in full: "Thank you for your note of July 16, with specimen photostat pages. The size of these is all right, though it should be borne in mind that a wide margin at the left-hand side will be required for binding. On the whole I think black on white would be better, especially where illustrations occur. There is a firm at 700 Tenth Street, in the same office building as the firm of patent attorneys, Mauro, Cameron, Lewis & Kerkam, who do photostat work at 15 cents a sheet. I would suggest your looking them up. I enclose a copy of a note of introduction which I am sending Mr. Larned E. Meacham who will be interested in the material you have collected.” In fine condition, with some light creasing, and light haloing to the signature.
