Magnificent matte-finish 13.25 x 16 portrait of Roosevelt seated at his desk with letter in hand, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "For Clyde T. Ellis, from, Franklin D. Roosevelt." Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 16.25 x 20.25. In fine condition, with some very slight rippling. Ellis was a congressman from Arkansas from 1939 to 1943, who later served as the first general manager of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association in Washington, D.C.
