TLS signed “Regards & best wishes, Thedore Dreiser,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, August 29, 1934. Letter to William Sulzer in New York, in full: "Your kind letter and birthday wishes are very much appreciated. I'll be glad to 'drop in' on you whenever the opportunity presents itself." Dreiser adds a handwritten postscript: "I'll keep your oddness before me." In fine condition, with scattered light creasing. Sulzer, a lawyer and politician, had served as governor of New York and been impeached after his attempts to reform Tammany Hall corruption.
