TLS signed “Owen J. Roberts,” one page, 5.75 x 7.75, Supreme Court of the United States letterhead, November 22, 1935. Letter to Harold Roland Shapiro, in full: "I have your letter of November 20th enclosing a reprint of your review of the new biography of Chief Justice Taney. I thank you very much for it. I have been interested in Taney's life and have read both of the previous biographies. I have had it in mind to get the new one by Swisher and am glad to get your review of it." In fine condition.
