Original color sketch of comic strip hero Steve Canyon accomplished by Caniff on a 7.25 x 10.5 sheet of his personal letterhead, signed and inscribed below, "Steve Canyon for Michael Robuck, Best Wishes, Milton Caniff, N.Y. April '71." Includes an ANS by Caniff on a 5 x 4.25 slip of memo paper, April 13, 1971, in full: "I am far from my home base (Palm Springs), so I have no photos to send—so I have made a drawing of Steve Canyon—who is better looking than I." In overall fine condition, with intersecting folds to the sketch and a rusty paperclip impression to the top edge of the note.
