Letter to a gentleman, in part: "I have received your letter of 18th Instant, in regard to the Telephone. My time is at present so much occupied with several important matters that I have had no leisure to devote to an examination into the merits of the invention. If it succeeds in doing all that its friends claim for it, there is no doubt it will create a revolution in telegraphy. I would suggest that you obtain copies of what has been printed in regard to it. No doubt Professor Elisha Gray of Chicago will give you information in regard to it." In fine condition.
