Uncommon embroidered portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt by Belgian textile manufacturer Edmond Meert, 10.75 x 15.25, issued on the occasion of the liberation of Belgium in 1945, with black band to upper left corner signifying the year of FDR’s death. The lower border features an embroidered inscription: “Presented as a tribute of thankfulness to our American friends.” Framed and in fine condition. The same embroidered portrait is hanging on the walls of the FDR Library in Hyde Park, New York.
