Rare early Fuzzy portrait

Silent film comic (1893-1963) who appeared in dozens of Mack Sennett's early Keystone comedies and would eventually create and star in his own vehicles for other studios. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Fuzzy as Bill from the 1929 film She Goes to War, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Capt. Dowley, the Captain of the tanks? Sincerely, Al St. John, 11-2-28.” Reverse bears a United Artists Picture stamp. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing, a missing upper corner tip, and light silvering to the darker areas of the image. Fuzzy remains rare in signed pictures.
