Description

American soldier (1864-1955) who served as Army chief of staff during World War I, a position in which he reorganized the structure of the US Army. Vintage 5.5 x 3.5 postcard depicting American troops at the Bastille Day military parade on July 14, 1919, signed in fountain pen, "Peyton C. March, General." In fine condition, with a light stain beneath the signature.
