TLS, one page, 7 x 9, White House letterhead, March 1, 1958. Letter to Hallie Stiles, in full: "The magnificent lemons that you sent me from the tree near the house where Mrs. Eisenhower is staying are proof positive of the truth of the claims for Arizona that are so enthusiastically made. Incidentally, I am highly complimented that you have named the cottage 'The President's House!' Thank you, too, for the many courtesies you are extending to Mrs. Eisenhower. I am certain you are taking wonderful care of her and I know she is enjoying tremendously her stay with you. I am delighted—and grateful to you and your associates." Eisenhower adds a brief postscript to the conclusion: "I felt greatly privileged to meet you last Sunday evening—and in such pleasant surroundings." In fine condition, with small pieces of clear tape to two edges. Accompanied by the original White House mailing envelope.
