TLS signed “Winston S. Churchill,” one page, 7.5 x 9.5, Hyde Park Gate letterhead, June 9, 1956. Letter to Edward H. Dodd, Jr., in full: "Thank you very much for your letter of May 29 and for again taking so much trouble to send me the reviews, which I was most interested to read. I return you the one from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It is a pity that some of the proof-reading has gone wrong." In fine condition. Churchill began publishing his massive four-volume A History of the English-Speaking Peoples in 1956, which he began writing in 1937.
