Vintage matte-finish 7.75 x 9.75 portrait of Truman, signed and inscribed in black ink, "To George W. Hickey, Jr., US Secret Service, Harry S. Truman.” Framed and in very good to fine condition, with a few light creases, and moderate contrast to the handwriting against the dark background. Special Agent Hickey served under four United States presidents, and was assigned to security detail in car No. 2 on the day of JFK's assassination. Hickey has long been at the center of a conspiracy theory suggesting 'friendly fire' from his AR-15 rifle accidentally discharged and killed Kennedy when the limousine lurched forward.
