Description

Full free frank, measuring 9.75 x 7.75 with a center panel of 4.75 x 3.25, postmarked October 10 [1840], addressed in Webster's hand to "Hon Edward Curtis, N. York," and franked in the upper right, "Dan'l Webster, U. S. Senate." Ink notations in an unknown hand date the signature to 1840. In fine condition, with light soiling and a central vertical fold.
