Taft appoints a "Carpenter in the Navy"

Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 15.25 x 19, June 2, 1910. President Taft appoints Harry R. Taylor as "a Carpenter in the Navy of the United States." Signed at the conclusion by Taft, and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy George von L. Meyer. Blue Navy Department seal remains affixed to lower vignette. In fine condition, with scattered light creasing, and Taft's signature a couple of shades light.
