Description

Uncommon commemorative cover flown aboard the maiden flight of the experimental Grumman X-29 aircraft on December 14, 1984, bearing an "Advanced Technology Demonstrator" cachet, and postmarked at the Edwards Air Force Base. Includes the original cover insert, signed in black ballpoint by pilot Chuck Sewell, as well as a color semi-glossy 10 x 8 photo of the midair X-29, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, "Jerry, Best wishes, Chuck Sewell." In overall fine condition.
