Document certifying that an indenture of mortgage made and executed by Abraham Carpenter is “redeemed, paid off, satisfied, and discharged.” Signed at the conclusion by Astor and countersigned by two witnesses. Accompanied by a related partly-printed document signed by a city official. In very good condition, with a tape-repaired complete separation to the central horizontal fold, dampstaining to left side affecting some text in the body, and chipping to edges.
