Partly-printed DS, signed “George R.,” one page, 9.75 x 13.75, October 19, 1904. Certificate from the Royal Humane Society, in part: "It was Resolved Unanimously that Miss Daphne E. D. H. Milman is justly entitled to the Honorary Silver Medal of this Society, which is hereby awarded her for having at great personal risk on the 20th September 1904 gone to the rescue of Miss D. F. Richmond who was in imminent danger of drowning in Lake Windermere and whose life she courageously saved, thereafter assisting in her restoration." Signed at the conclusion as society president by George. Housed in its original Royal Human Society presentation folder. In fine condition, with light overall soiling.
