Partly-printed vellum DS, signed ?George R,? one page, 16.5 x 11, February 23, 1801. King George appoints Thomas Stanwix as "a Second Lieutenant in Our Royal Regiment of Artillery." Signed in the upper left by the king. In very good to fine condition, with an area of vellum irregularity to the lower left, and two heavy vertical folds near the center of the document.
