State of Connecticut pay order, in part: “Pay unto Ralph Pomeroy Esq…or order one Pound ten Shillings Lawfull Money out of the Tax of Two Shillings & six pence on the Pound granted by the General Assembly in May last & charge the state.” Signed at the conclusion by Wolcott, and countersigned by John Lawrence and William Moseley.
