Cooney, in full: “I am enclosing herewith the notice of your unconditional release by the Brooklyn Club. I regret the necessity of severing our baseball connection. I hope you will find time to drop into the office.” In fine condition, with staple holes to upper left corner and some light toning. Johnny Cooney enjoyed a 20-year career as a multi-positional baseball player for teams such as the Boston Braves, the Brooklyn Dodgers, and the New York Yankees. After his playing career, Cooney spent another twenty years as a manager. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
