Agnew, in full: “Thank you for your kind invitation. I would be glad to go with you but I have another engagement to which I must keep.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, as well as by the personal calling card of Dr. Agnew, bearing a note to his nephew, “the autograph of our President.” Dr. Cornelius Agnew was a distinguished eye and ear specialist, as well as a professor at Columbia University's medical school.
