Steinway,” one page, 5.5 x 8.25, Steinway & Sons letterhead, January 16, 1892. Letter to Charles MacLean, in full: “I hereby recommend Mr. Charles J. Wade, now on Inspector Byrnes’ staff as detective, for promotion as Detective Sergeant. I have also written to Hon. J. J. Martin on the same subject.” In very good to fine condition, with several strips of toning. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
