Letter to poet Joseph Auslander at the Library of Congress, in part: “I am sorry I didn’t get around to those manuscripts for the Library of Congress but I really have been tied up, the last few months, in Hollywood with a motion picture [Holiday Inn, which introduced his famous song ‘White Christmas’].
