Agreement between Rock Hudson and Universal Pictures Company, Inc., in which the latter employs “the artist to render his services…in such roles as the producer may designate in two (2) photoplays…to be commenced during the term of fourteen (14) months” and furthermore agrees “to appear personally for the use of advertising…on one (1) radio program…and to make one…appearance in a motion picture theatre” for a weekly rate of $8,214.28. Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Hudson, who adds his initials on three separate pages. In fine condition, with wear to top edges. Hudson starred in an amazing fourteen films between 1954 and 1957, yet only a handful were with Universal Pictures as the brawny leading man was frequently loaned out to other studios throughout his career; he most most notably leased to Warner Bros. in 1956 when he co-starred with James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor in the George Stevens classic Giant.
