Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 10.25 x 15.5, August 16, 1811. Scallop-topped ship’s pass issued to “the Ship Citizen of New York…To Pass with her Company, Passengers, Goods and Merchandize without any hinderance, seizure or molestation.” Signed at the conclusion by President Madison and countersigned by Secretary of State Robert Smith. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In very good condition, with moderate overall creasing and small areas of paper loss. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
