Ralph Vaughan Williams

Influential English composer (1872–1958) of symphonies, chamber music, opera, choral music, and film scores. ALS signed “RW,” one page both sides, 4.5 x 7, Oriel College letterhead, May 29, 1939. Letter in his difficult to decipher hand apologizing for his inability to visit London due to “lack of money” and “lack of a car.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in his own hand. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
