Collection of three items signed by noted officers of the Civil War: an ink signature, “Wade Hampton, March 23d 1899,” on an off-white card double-matted with an image and biographical sheet; an ALS by Daniel Butterfield, three pages on two adjoining sheets, November 27, 1868, in part: “Thanks for your kind invitation…I may receive a telegraph during the day calling me from the city. If it does not come I shall be there”; and a trimmed partial bank check, filled out and signed by Lew Wallace, payable to self for $5, no date, double-matted with three images and a biographical sheet. In overall fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
