Manuscript DS in Italian, signed “Il Duca di Fiorenza,” one page, 11.25 x 8.25, August 13, 1560. Document confirming Pierro Machiavelli as general commander of his galleys. Signed at the conclusion by Medici as the duke of Florence and countersigned by his secretary Bartolomeo Concini. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature) and heavy overall dampstaining. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
