ALS, one page, 5 x 7.75, January 10, 1884. Letter to Mr. Kimball, in part: “I am sorry that I cannot accept your gratifying invitation for Sunday and the days thereafter following. I am just at home again after a series of absences, and am too much overcome with past fatigue and present business to leave home again.” In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds, two small surface tears and partial separations to first page, and a tape-repaired separation to second page. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
