Description

Alfred Hertz

German conductor (1872–1942) best known as the director of the San Francisco Symphony. Oversized matte-finish 11.75 x 15.75 mounted portrait of Hertz by Aime Dupont, signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen in German to the librarian of the Metropolitan Opera, Lionel Mapleson. Dings and toning to edges, and wear to corners of the mount, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
