TLS signed “Gerald R. Ford,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, August 15, 1980. Letter to Bette Goddard, in part: “We deeply appreciate your strong support for our family. Betty and I wish you the very best and I’m certain our children do also. We firmly believe the Reagan–Bush ticket is a well-balanced team and we are strongly supporting them. Our country cannot survive four more years of the Carter Administration with its ineffectiveness and incompetence.” Letter bears a collector’s notation in the lower right. In fine condition, with slight irregular ink adhesion to portions of the signature and light show-through from a PSA/DNA label affixed to the reverse. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA and the original mailing envelope bearing an embossed facsimile signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
