ALS, one page, lightly-lined, 4.75 x 7.75, New York Tribune stationery, December 14, 1870. Letter to O. I. Vitor, in part: “I am doing my best in the matter…but I must not call names.” Affixed along the left edge to a slightly larger sheet. Chipping and toning to left edge, and scattered soiling, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by an engraved portrait of Greeley bearing a pre-printed facsimile signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
