Description

Clara Bow

Vintage glossy 10 x 12 photo of the gorgeous flapper at the cusp of her 1920s stardom, signed and inscribed in green ink to a studio electrician, “To Jack, What a great fellow! Your friend, Clara Bow.” Affixed to a same-size mount. In very good condition, with a repaired tear passing from the right edge into the last letter of her signature, a few other repairs to tears and areas of surface loss, and some scattered surface marks. The recipient, Jack Wilson, was a Paramount electrician who worked on Bow’s 1926 film Dancing Mothers. Accompanied by two unsigned photos, one showing Bow signing photos for the crew (Wilson is seen as the tallest man in the back row), and one of Astoria Studios where Dancing Mothers was shot. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
