Major general in the Continental Army (1733-1810) during the American Revolutionary War, known as the officer who formally accepted the British surrender at Yorktown. Partly-printed DS, signed “B. Lincoln,” one page, 9.75 x 5.25, July 13, 1807. Lincoln signs off on an import “from St. Kitts one Hogshead of Rum.” Partiall affixed to a slightly larger sheet. Partial separations to several intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing though a single letter of the signature), crude tape repairs to edges, and scattered soiling, otherwise very good condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
