ALS, one page, 8.5 x 4.75, 1994. Letter penned on the bottom half of a letter written to him, responding to questions about a biography and Michael Collins. In part: “I wrote a book ‘Countdown’ with Bill Serling. It is now out of print. Mike was not to command Apollo 8. He was the command module pilot & was replaced by Jim Lovell after his operation.” In fine condition. Accompanied by some commemorative Apollo 8 material including two coins, stamps, and a thick press release detailing the mission. From the Leon Ford Collection.
