American teacher who participated in the Teacher in Space program as the backup to Christa McAuliffe for the ill-fated STS-51-L and went on to fly on STS-118 in 2007. ALS signed “Barbara,” written at the conclusion of a TLS signed “Barbara Morgan,” one page, 8.5 x 11, NASA Teacher in Space Project letterhead, February 24, 1986. The ALS, in part: “Christa and the other six crew members (Dick, Mike, El, Judy, Ron, and Greg) were and always will be wonderful people…They loved what they were doing and I’m sure if they were here to answer the question, ‘Would you go again?’ they would all say ‘yes.’ We will continue their dreams. We will continue to go to space. Our space program belongs to all of us!” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Pre-certified Steve Zarelli.
