Ink signature, “Maria,” on an off-white 8 x 5.25 sheet clipped from the conclusion of a letter, dated November 20, 1826, St. Petersburg. The empress also pens a brief statement in French below her signature. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature.
