DS in German, signed in pencil, “Rommel,” one page, 8.25 x 11.5, April 23, 1942. Untranslated document in which Rommel nominates 11 German soldiers to receive Second Class service medals. In fine condition, with uniform toning and two punch holes to the left edge. At this time Rommel was the commanding general of the Panzer Army in Africa; this document dates to just three months before the First Battle of El Alamein. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
