TLS signed “G. W. Carver,” one page, 8.5 x 7.25, Tuskegee Institute letterhead, June 29, 1940. Letter to Carl Wentz of the Tuskegee Institute. In part: “I wish to extend my…appreciation to your dear little daughter…I appreciate both of the things she sent…She is a real artist…Such a fine choice of colors, yellow and blue with the red undertone, most beautifully and artistically done.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature) and significant scattered staining. Accompanied by an unsigned FDC honoring Carver. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
