Jazz musician (1904–1943) whose inimitable stride piano style made him one of the greatest players ever. Partly-printed DS, signed in pencil, “Thomas ‘Fats’ Waller,” one page, 5 x 3.5, January 12, 1934. Waller signs a receipt for a $20.00 advance on his weekly salary from the Harlem Opera House. In fine condition, with a rusty paperclip mark to top left corner. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
