TLS, one page, 5.75 x 9, Supreme Court letterhead, December 5, 1953. Letter to George C. Farrand. In full: “You have completely exculpated your Chief Justice in my mind and now I duly charge your whole Court with this silly business. Have you noticed how the English Courts have changed their long tradition in the opposite direction to that of your Supreme Court? As you know there was a rigid ruling in England against quoting any living legal author. Increasingly they quite shamelessly cite law review articles.” In fine condition, with punch holes and office notations along top edge. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
