TLS, one page, 7 x 9.75, September 27, 1915. Letter to a supporter. In part: “In the past campaign I have had help from thousands whom I do not know—many of them in your neighborhood. I want you to know how much I appreciate the kind words you have spoken of me, and I hope you will express my thanks to any of your neighbors who have supported me…tell your Committee members—the men who do the work and stand the criticism—that the time has come when Republicans do not have to apologize.” Appealingly double-matted and framed with a nameplate and image to an overall size of 22 x 18.
