Description

“In those primitive, faraway days of early television, he said he found your ideas most original”

TLS signed “George,” one page, 7 x 10.5, personal letterhead, June 19, 1970. Letter to Alex Tiers. In part: “I’ve taken to sending you my press clippings—a very dangerous practice! I hope I don’t tax your generous and forgiving nature…I saw our old friend, Al Simon, at a party the other night. He spoke of you most affectionately—in fact we both did…In those primitive, faraway days of early television, he said he found your ideas most original. He remembered a program that you talked about with a whole Nigra cast. So you see, you were before your time.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
